The Cookery School

At the Love food cookery school you can see good chefs cook great food, in ways both accessible and realistic. Using the best, fresh produce from the Southwest the cookery demonstrations are designed to equip the audience with the confidence and know how to cook simple yet tasty meals, making the most of the wonderful ingredients which have been produced, grown and foraged from our English countryside.

Here's a taster of what will be happening!

Saturday

 

 

butter making

Buttermaking! Get shaking for some butter making! We will churn fresh cream to make little pats of butter for you to take home.  A delightful and magical activity for children and adults.

Liz of Forage was recently awarded the countryfile hero of the month title. There is a good reason for this! Come and meet this delightful lady as she prepares some seriously spring dishes!

Primrose Curd Recipe based on an old English recipe called 'russet' and a roll mop style trout in primrose vinegar.

Pear Cafe

The lovely Elly will be sharing some recipes served both in The legendary Pear Cafe and also used in their outside catering menus.

Smoked mackerel, beetroot, horseradish, creme fraiche and thyme salad with quick pickled cucumber.
Pea, potato, feta, mint and chilli salad.
Seedy spicy red cabbage 'slaw

Devilled Egg

Barbora of Devilled Egg will be demonstrating some devilshly good recipes, guaranteed to get the tastebuds excited.

Sweet potato and hazelnut gnocchi, seared duck breast, plum sauce.

We are very excited that Robin Harford will be sharing his enourmous passion and wealth of knowledge on Wild Food.

Nettle pesto, wild garlic frittata and other wild food dishes.

Well loved local chef Ronnie Faulkner of Ronnies will be joining us to demonstrate one of his superb signature dishes.

Salmon and pollock fishcakes, spinach and a parsley sauce.

Mike Merelie will be joining us to show how easy it is to make quick, tasty meals at home that are bursting with health and colour.

Healthy and easy  - carrot salad with mint, parsley, seeds & lemon, our courgette & fennel ribbon salad with chilli & garlic & our tabbouleh with egg, harissa & dill.

 

Trealy farm

British charcuterie at it's best, This demonstration will provide you with the know how to prepare some superb Tapas plates at home.  

 A talk on how this gorgeous charcuterie is produced and some tasty recipes.

Katy Davidson of Mangez Moi is an Oyster expert and has converted hundreds of people to loving what they were once afraid of. Come and see Katy enthuse about her passion.

We are delighted that the boys from Hobbs House will be joining us. After their recent success on Channel Four with 'The Fabulous Baker Brothers' this is your opportunity to see them in action.

Sarah Moore has been catering in London for over 15 years. Specialising in canapes; little mouthfuls of delectible morsels and visually stunning. It's easy! and Sarah is going to share some of her caterer's secrets to show you how to entertain and still enjoy yourself.

La Cuizine

Iza from La Cuizine will be showing quick, healthy recipes full of flavours and colour to promote good flavours as much as healthy eating.

The square food foundation

We are thrilled to welcome local hero Barny Haughton on stage with his lastest fantastic project 'The Square Food Foundation.'

'Mr Macgregor's Cabbage Patch' and will comprise several recipes using cabbages and other brassicas.

Sanjay Kumar - Head of Slow Food Cornwall, is a superstar and will be showing us how to make gorgeous curries at home using lovely local produce.
