The Childrens Area

This year the children's line up is even bigger and better than before and boasts five themed zones in which younger visitors can enjoy learning and creating and provides families with a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this wonderful time of year and the arrival of Spring in a food loving fashion:

All activities in the children's area apart from face painting are FREE and children are able to take all the things they have made home with them.

Cookery School


Running a series of cookery lessons including:

Easter nests

Fresh pasta & pesto

Spring Rolls

Easter Biscuits

 

 

   

Junkfish

The Junkfish zone will provide a colourful playground where you can create endless items from recycled materials such as:

Ribbon skirts

Fridge magnets

Easter bunting

Juggling balls

Junk bugs

   
   

 

 

New for this year, 'The Great Outdoors' area will be bringing the countryside to town. Highlights include  BBC2's 'Lambing Live' star Kate Beaven of 'Kate's country school' with their lambing simulator, seed bomb making, planting with 'The community Farm' and Bee talks and workshops with Bridget Strawbridge from ITV's 'It's not easy being green'.

Imagination Zone

Children can let their imaginations run wild in the Imagination zone with the help of:

Egg hunt

Children's library

Storytelling

Drawing

Dressing up

Face Painting

 

 

 

 

Nursery corner

The nursery corner will cater for pre school children with a series of seasonal arts and crafts activities such as:

Easter cards

Paper flowers

Plant your own egg head with cress

Dot to dot

finger puppets

Baby Bites
