Fancy doing something a bit different this spring?
Than why not join the Love Food team to help create, organise and run our annual Spring Festival at Brunel’s Old Station. Now in its 3rd year the Love Food Spring Festival provides a free weekend long event to the Bristol community showcasing some of the best and tastiest food the Southwest has to offer. With cooking classes for kids, organic wine tasting workshops, book signing and educational talks and a whole area dedicated to sustainable transport the Spring Festival promotes important environmental messages in a family friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
With this year set to be the best yet we are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and motivated people to help out with everything from decorating, stewarding, cooking, performing, making, food prepping in the cookery school, assisting with the wine tasting workshops, gardening and generally helping out over the weekend.
As well as volunteering over the weekend we are also in need of people to help with the design and decoration of different aspects of the Festival. Creative and practical individuals and groups of people are needed to help create areas such as the ‘Love Book’ library, a fun children’s area, garden paths, country signs and anything else which will help bring ‘the countryside to town’.
Donations of material are as equally needed as donations of time. Wood, equipment, arts and crafts materials and old furniture are all needed. For anyone willing to donate anything like this then please contact us.
We will of course ensure that all our lovely volunteers are suitably fed and watered with the fine selection of produce on offer at the Festival. This is a great chance to join the Food Revolution and help create an event which will truly spark change in peoples’ day to day routines.
